Our Program of services include:
Protective and continuous care and supervision in a family setting in a home that feels, looks and acts like a home
Observation for changes in physical, mental, emotional and social functioning of each resdient on a continuous basis
Professional care for those in all stages of dementia and Alzheimer's Disease by our staff who are fully and continuously trained in this arena.
Notification to resident's family, physician and other appropriate person/agency of changes in resident's needs which we address.
Coordination of communications with the resident's family and friends through such sources as Skype and social media and though such activities as specially prepared "family meals" and celebrations, such as birthday parties.
Coordination of special visits to the residents by community volunteers such as cub scouts (with rabbits) and choral groups.
Monthly day trips to places of interest. Personalized transportation is regularly provided and as needed in our own Golden Gardens van to nearby shops, churches/temples, physicians and special events.
We try to fulfill the spiritual needs of the residents. When needed, we will take them to their place of worship.
Helping gain access to supportive services - if desired by resident, such as:
- Activities at the Fallbrook Senior Center
Home cooked, delicious meals/snacks (three times a day), modified for special dietary needs. Residents may assist in menu planning or cooking, if so desired by them. We also provide celebratory meals for special occasions.
Fully furnished room; however, each resident and their family are encouraged to bring articles (such as furniture, pictures, pieces of art, etc.) into the room that may have significance for the resident
Hygiene items of general use, such as: soap, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, hand and body lotion are provided at no additional cost
Assistance with taking prescribed and over-the-counter medications in accordance with physician's instructions unless prohibited by law or regulations
Bedside care and tray service, when needed or requested
Physically and mentally, stimulating and meaningful activities, for both the body and mind
Maintenance or supervision of resident cash resources, if any
Promotion of a balanced life for each resident - physically, mentally, socially and spiritually
Services designed to maximize individual capabilities
Laundry, as needed but no less than once per week
Bed linen and bath linen changes, as needed but no less than once per
Housekeeping - cleaning of resident's room as needed
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
- Grooming, including free haircuts, shaving, manicures for fingernails
- Transferring from bed to chair - if required
- Other personal needs
Coordination and cooperation with Hospice staff
Daily activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Wii games
- Tai Chi
- Card games
- Senior fitness exercises
- Beach walks
- Ball toss
- Hula hoops
- Water/oil painting
- Flower arranging
- Trips to special places of interest (eg: library, beach, theater, the Midway carrier, in San Diego, etc)
